What a year it’s been! Here are some highlights from an amazing 2025 at GoodWork. We’re so excited to make an even BIGGER impact in 2026 - expanding our mentoring and employability programmes for young people and working with employers to champion social mobility.
GoodWork’s Birthday
We celebrated an incredible three years of GoodWork. What started as a solo mission and a very intimate (but special!) Cohort 1, has grown into a thriving team and community.

Celebrating Social Mobility Day and three years of GoodWork’s impact!
Sponsored by our partners, Daintta, we brought together young people, employers, changemakers and partners for an incredible evening celebrating Social Mobility Day and three years of GoodWork. Together, we explored social mobility and how hiring young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds is not a risk, but a source of value, experience and vital perspective.

It was a pleasure to host Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Helen Whately MP, and her team at GoodWork HQ in May.
We highlighted the barriers young people are facing to access work, the need for systemic change in how employers hire underrepresented young people, and policy shifts we'd love to see to drive social mobility.

Working with Monzo to deliver a Teck Hackathon and Insights Day!
In July, we visited Monzo for a tech insights day! Our young people had an amazing time hearing about the Monzo team’s diverse career journeys, flexing their problem solving skills in a hackathon, and learning about financial literacy.

We became a registered charity!
We reached a huge milestone this year - GoodWork is now a registered charity! This means we can grow our reach, unlock more funding, and scale our impact.

Launch of Online 2 Cohort
We were thrilled to welcome our second Online Cohort of the GoodWork Programme this summer.
Slightly lighter touch than our Core Programme, our Online Programme is designed to support graduates - or those with a little more experience - who are still facing systemic barriers to launching their careers.

Congratulations, Cohort 4!
We could not be prouder of our Cohort 4 GoodWork graduates, who completed their six months with us this August.
We marked the occasion with a morning of reflections, followed by a graduate panel, certificate ceremony - awarded by our wonderful trustee Orlando Arnold - and finished with networking and nibbles with the GoodWork volunteer community.

Our Partnership with PUBLIC
This summer, we teamed up with PUBLIC to run a cross-platform recruitment campaign to increase applications from young talent from lower socioeconomic backgrounds for their summer internship programme.

Youth x Employer Engagement Forum
1 day, 62 attendees, 9 regions of the UK, 20 employers and 11 youth organisations represented.
We partnered with the Social Mobility Leaders' Forum to deliver the Youth x Employer Engagement Forum, bringing together young people and employers to reimagine the world of work.

Launching Cohort 5
This autumn, we welcomed our latest cohort of fantastic young people to GoodWork HQ for our first programme launch in our own space.
We kicked off with community building and creativity, followed by sessions on contracting, self-management and goal setting. We were then joined by Cohort 4 graduate, Siham, who shared advice on how to make the most of the programme.

Working with our community to raising over £21k in our Crowdfunder
Our incredible community came together this year to raise over £21,000 to help more underserved young people launch their careers. Massive thanks to our 182 donors and Champions who went above and beyond to share our campaign.
