Zack Polanski visits GoodWork

It was wonderful to have Zack Polanski visit our Community Hub. Zack is running in the upcoming by-election for our local constituency, Holborn and St Pancras, and joined us for an open and honest conversation with young people from our programmes.

They discussed the challenges young people face in finding work, including the impact of COVID, as well as the importance of community building and co-design in creating a better future for young people.

The conversation also touched on the need to avoid a deficit model – rather than attributing youth unemployment to a lack of ambition or effort from young people, policymakers need to look at the structural barriers holding back young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
